Zalt posts another impressive sales increase

Zalt has announced a 20% rise in sales for the second year running.

The EFTTA member says that exports have led the way in posting another impressive performance which has further established the company as one of Sweden’s top lure manufacturers.

Owner, Peter af Rolen, said that the company, which was formed in 1987, now does business with 20 European countries, including France, Germany, the Netherlands and Rumania.

It is also successful in Russia and Ukraine, where af Rolen believes there is even more potential for growth.

He said: ”They are very big markets for us and both offer tremendous growth opportunities.”

Af Rolen also revealed that in the long term Zalt was casting envious eyes at the North American market, but he admitted it would be a ‘tough nut to crack’.

“We are very interested in selling to North America, but we need to find an experienced distributor who can teach us the market.”

He revealed that since 1990, 36 pike over 15 kilos have been documented as being caught on the company’s lures.

“Each year we receive calls from excited anglers who have been successful and caught huge fish on our lures,” he said.
