On behalf of the President, the Board of Directors, the EFTTA Members and all the EFTTA and EFTTEX team, we want to express our deep concern and our compassion towards the people of Japan and the members of our Industry.
In the small and intimate world of the fishing industry most of EFTTA’s members, year after year have formed strong professional and personal relationships with the members of the Japanese Industry. We are certainly sharing with them the pain and feeling of helplessness and dismay in the aftermath of such a tragedy.
We do hope that most of them, together with their families and friends, have not been badly affected during this tragedy and that it will not affect them too much in the future.
Japan is a great country and has shown several times its capacity to face its historical tragedies with energy and determination by being a composed nation and facing the future with optimism.
We look forward to the future for them and their return to a healthy market place.
