Professional American anglers against European anglers in the II Eurobass Cup

The Iberian Week is working in the II Eurobass Cup organisation, the competition between world class American professionals and European anglers from Italy, France, Portugal and Spain. The event will be held in the Ricobayo reservoir (Zamora), from the 20th to the 21st of September.

The Eurobass Cup is a team event, Europe against United States. The Americans won last year 19:5 – it is time for the Europeans to fight back..

The presence of champions like Mike Iaconelli and sportsmen, who hold an important place in the USA, like John Murray, Kelly Jordon, were of great interest to the European enthusiasts. They closely followed the progress of the Eurobass Cup and all corresponding activities during Iberian week last year.

Four Spanish, four Portuguese, two Italians and two French will make up the team playing in the European "colours" in this second tournament. They include David Espax, José Luis López, Santiago and Sergio Longas, Helder Maia, José Mendes da Cruz, Pedro Félix, Herminio Rodrigues, Paolo Vannini, Stefano Sammarchi, Frédéric Jullian and Frank Rossman.
