The UK government has “flown in the face” of its own fisheries advisers, Cefas (the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science), in refusing to increase the minimum landing size of bass.

New trade magazine pledges support for EFTTA and EFTTEX 2008

EFTTA PLEDGES ACTION AFTER SEA FISHING LICENCE SCHEME DAMAGES TACKLE SALES IN EUROPE
The European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA) has urged governments across Europe to think carefully before introducing sea fishing licences, after it was revealed that the introduction of a licence scheme in Portugal has had a catastrophic effect on tackle sales in the country.
