EFTTEX 2008 PROVES ITS INTERNATIONAL APPEAL

EFTTEX 2008 in Rome proved its standing as the biggest tackle trade show in Europe by attracting visitors from over 30 countries.

As expected, Italy provided the majority of visitors with 26% of the overall total, while Germany and Russia contributed 5%, followed by the UK (4%), Spain (4%) and France (4%).

Ten percent of EFTTEX visitors came from the Far East (China 5%, Japan 3% and Korea 2%) and 80% of visitors attending the exhibition in Rome plan to visit EFTTEX 2009 in Budapest in 2009.

EFTTA President, Pierangelo Zanetta, said: "EFTTEX is the biggest and most important tackle show outside of America and this was demonstrated by the huge range of visitors from many different countries.

"Our decision to move the show around Europe's major cities means we are always able to attract new visitors - as can be seen by the increase in Italian visitors compared to last year."

Added Pierangelo: "This makes EFTTEX 2009 a must-attend event for anyone looking to expand into Eastern Europe or who wishes to improve their distribution in that area.

“Being in Budapest will inevitably draw more exhibitors from Hungary and its neighbouring countries."
