Angling International Cements EFTTEX Connection

Following an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the worldwide launch of Angling International, the publishers have sent a new message to the trade: if you want to promote your presence at EFTTEX, start talking to us now.
Angling International is the only magazine with a dedicated section of official EFTTEX news. As the countdown to Rome 2008 gathers pace, each month there will be coverage on all the major exhibitors. The launch issue features the big name businesses that have taken increased stand space for 2008.
The publishers have been delighted by the reaction to the EFTTEX section, which gives EFTTA the opportunity to communicate directly with the worldwide trade.
Said publishing editor Mel Bagnall: “From the outset our aim has been to build connections within the industry rather than create divisions. What better way is there to demonstrate that than by including a dedicated EFTTEX section? EFTTEX has a long heritage of bringing the trade together and we want to be part of that. It’s why we have joined EFTTA and agreed to sponsor the new product awards at EFTTEX.
“It means that if you want to know the latest on EFTTEX, you have to read Angling International. And, of course, if you want to promote your company’s presence at the show – especially if you have new products – you need to start talking to us. We are the only independent publication with official EFTTEX news.
“The trade are rallying around the title. We have received countless congratulations from around the world, from businesses that are clearly attracted by our independence and the usefulness of our content. We are already taking ad bookings for the EFTTEX preview issue, and I would encourage all other companies to contact us soon. It is already shaping up as the must-read magazine of the year.”
The monthly magazine includes international news plus advice and opinions from industry leaders. Some content appears in different languages. The first issue was mailed to more than 7,000 businesses worldwide at the end of January.
Angling International also features content deliberately aimed at retailers, including 12 pages of product information. More content for retailers is planned for future issues.
Adds Mel Bagnall: “We have been especially encouraged by the positive response from retailers. It was a big challenge for us to get them to open the magazine and read it, but it is clear that our decision to dedicate content to them was the right one. It’s a powerful message to worldwide manufacturers: the retailers they want to target are picking up our magazine and reading it.”
• The March issue of Angling International will be mailed around the world in the third week of February. The deadline for ads is February 5th. • For more information on ad rates and to place your EFTTEX advertising contact sales@angling-international.com or telephone Phil Broughton on +44 (0) 1733 392975 • To send news contact Mel Bagnall at editor@angling-international.com or telephone +44 (0) 1733 392977
