Companies planning to exhibit at EFTTEX 2011 are being urged to move quickly when stand bookings open from 4th October. EFTTA is expecting a surge in interest for the show which will take place at the Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands between 17th and 19th June next year.
Final deadline for Youth Grant Scheme
EFTTA member companies planning to support EFTTA Youth Grant applications have just a few days to meet the final deadline. Export statistics uploaded to EFTTA website
EFTTA members that need comprehensive import/export statistics from around the world can now find them online at the EFTTA website. The resource means it is now possible to discover the value of tackle imports into every country in the world. Each country‘s tackle imports are divided into Rods, Hooks, Reels and Other Tackle imported from different countries around the world. The files also give a total value of the tackle imports over a 12-month period. Pdf files for Europe and the Rest of the World are available for download by entering the Members area of the site and selecting ‘Statistics’ from the drop-down menu. The 2008 import/export trade statistics have already been uploaded. EFTTA plans to add the 2009 statistics in December.
Snowbee adds its name to the EFTTA Line Charter
Manufacturers that do not sign the EFTTA Line Charter do not deserve to be part of the tackle industry. That‘s the hardline view of Snowbee, the latest high-profile company to pledge its support for the initiative which has been launched to end misleading labels on line packaging. Snowbee is also calling for the Charter to be extended from monofilament to braided line.

Major deals for EFTTEX exhibitors
Three EFTTEX exhibitors have entered into major deals just weeks after meeting their new partners at the show. EFTTA warns against EFTTEX ‘alternatives’
EFTTA CEO Jean-Claude Bel has warned businesses against using the goodwill and power of EFTTEX to set up alternative meeting places in the same city and at the same time as the show. His message follows the news that an international brand invited customers to a hotel in Valencia during EFTTEX 2010 instead of exhibiting at the show.
