Dear Member of the Angling-Industry,  

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you because you are a former member of EFTTA. In the past, our organization was located in England as EFTTA Ltd., but due to Brexit we had to close our British entity and make a new start as EFTTA AISBL within the European Union (EU).

With registered HQ in Brussels, EFTTA AISBL is a recognised international nonprofit association, driven by a dedicated group of companies who share a common goal of safeguarding the tackle trade industry for the future. This is mainly done by lobbying the different institutions of the EU: the European Commission (EC) and the European Parliament (EP). Our lobby work is guided by the principle: healthy habitats for healthy fish-stocks –– all within a legal frame that allows our industry to thrive.

Today, recreational angling is Europe-wide under threats, with potential restrictions coming from various sides, whether ecological or political. If we do not react on these threats, recreational angling as we know it, might completely vanish.

All big players within the tackle trade industry have understood that. All of them are in the EFTTA Board: Daiwa, Pure-Fishing, Rapala-VMC, Rather Outdoors, Shimano.

Although the lion-share of the financing of EFTTA’s lobby activities is assumed by the big players in the Board, more funds are needed to fulfill our mission. No matter how big or small your business is, we need all the industry of the recreational angling world to support us - the future of your business depends on the success of our lobbying work!  

We rely on your understanding to sustain our shared cause and would love to welcome you back as a member of EFTTA! As EFTTA AISBL is a new entity, old memberships of EFTTA Ltd. are not valid anymore. Every “old” member has to sign up again to become member of EFTTA AISBL. If you rejoin EFTTA, you will not only contribute to our cause, but also benefit from the resources, network and support we provide for the benefit of our community. You can subscribe your membership directly on our website.
