Since 2013, Cécile Fouquet has been lobbying the European Parliament on behalf of the European recreational fisheries sector. She established an informal cross-party and transnational forum of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) known as the "RecFishing Forum" which hosts informative events and lobbying campaigns aimed at influencing the institution's decisions. Following the European elections, the Forum is scheduled to be relaunched in November 2024 after a comprehensive campaign to reestablish a network of supportive MEPs. Cécile holds prestigious diplomas in Public Affairs and European Administration, is proficient in several languages and is passionate about the angling industry.
