Recently, EFTTA became an accredited observer to ECHA.
Today (26 April), Jan Kappel attended an ECHA information meeting arranged for new observers.
EFTTA and 15 other new observers were briefed about how to engage with ECHA, confidentiality issues, code of conduct and more.
EFTTA already knows first-hand how to act as a useful observer to ECHA.
Before becoming an accredited stakeholder EFTTA has attended several ECHA meetings concerning a proposal for limitations and/or bans of lead in ammo and fishing sinkers. ECHA’s proposal has been handed over to the EU Commission, which now is working on a legislative proposal.
