EFTTA is seeking to recruit a new CEO to replace Jean Claude Bel. The ideal candidate must be a passionate angler, an EU citizen and fluent in English. The ability to speak other languages would also be useful. They must also be closely located to or within easy access to Brussels/Strasbourg.

The successful candidate will quickly become the “face” of the fishing tackle industry so must be eloquent and sociable with a convincing personality. Very importantly they must feel comfortable in political environments and have experience in conducting lobbying efforts as well as being able to negotiate politically. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must and experience in fund raising would be useful. Building relationships with MEP’s and officials of the EU institutions is a very important task associated with this role while also communicating effectively with EFTTA members.

This is a very diverse role and requires the willingness to travel frequently in Europe and beyond, co-operation with other like-minded associations as well as working closely with the EFTTA board, the EFTTA/EFTTEX team in London and Brussels.

If you are interested in being considered for this dynamic position please contact Janet Doyle on  to express your interest. The closing date for all expressions of interest is the 30th August 2019.
