Sport Visserij Belangen Delfland (SVBD) has set up a pilot area with effect from 1 January where from now on only lead-free fishing is allowed.

  • This is the result of a great collaboration between the SVBD, Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland and Sportvisserij Nederland to reduce lead use and promote lead-free fishing.

  • In addition to this pilot area, most competitions are fished lead-free by SVBD and fishing with weights above 50 grams is prohibited in all its waters.

  • In order to introduce anglers to lead-free fishing for free, a trade-in campaign will start in various shops on 1 March. Anglers can exchange lead for environmentally friendly alternatives.
